Default How much pressure in cossie power steering system?

Need to buy correct hoses and fittings for my power steering system, pump to rack, anyone know a rough psi output of the PAS pump?

I measured this years ago when running flexy pipes and am 99.9% sure it was around 400psi.

Thanks for the replies, interesting to hear where the 1150 psi figure came from, bit of a difference from 400psi.

Not sure on the Cossie, but a MK2 Focus PAS pump is rated to 104 bar according to the sticker on the side of it. Multiply 104 bar by 14.5 and you get 1508psi, so 1100psi is not that far fetched.

Thanks, yes Pirtek is getting a visit tomorrow, I intended to use crimped fittings for the pressure side and re-ueseable for the return, but I'm wandering if i can get away with re-useable for the whle lot.

the return can just be hose clipped, but the pressure will have to be at least single wire crimped hydraulic, even that will be good for 3000 psi, far more than you will ever need
