Default 16 valve head to pinto block

hi..can you fit a later 16 valve head from the 2.0 sierra or granny to a pinto block on a capri as me cousin who lives in aus is asking me this question for a friend of hers

Did they do a 16v sierra? (apart from the cossie)
I know they they made a 16v head for the pinto, cant think what it was called thow lol.

I think Burton did an aftermarket one for the pinto and the only one for the pinto was the cossie YB one !

thanks ecu i thought there was only one head but to be sure id ask here,anyone got a 2.0 8 v head lying around?

I have a non-injection pinto head im not using. Ideally needs a rebuild as its been sitting for a while and needs cleaning up, etc

The sierra and granny twin cam is an 8v version as mentioned above. You can modify a cossie head to be Normally aspirated and run carbs though

i know where there is a genuine mk2 rs2000 cylinder head or if you wanted a 2.0 dohc 8v i know where there is a complete engine with 5speed mt75 done low low miles dude and its all reasonably priced

RS2000 head was identical to a cortina or capri head

some sierras had a twin cam head but was only 8 valve not 16 if thats what you are thinking of

Holbay do a twin cam head for a pinto aswel, not sure on prices though.

theres 3 you can use but will cost alot to do...
warrior head
piper twin cam
cossie yb

but as said will cost alot so if you not going for massive power just send yours to vulcan and have it reworked to a fast road spec, will be just as good mate

In addition to the above there is a volvo head that has been grafted onto not only the us pinto(2.3 lima) but also uk type 2l pinto, the lima and pinto are totally different dimensionally just same sort of engine, the pinto of ours comes from the car the pinto in which it first appeared in the us.
