I got similar results from both but found meguairs easier to work with. I use Poorboys now, find them a lot better and can be used in the sun unlike most other treatments which is good

I used Autoglym for a long time, but got a Meguiars claay bar kit and it was spot on. Now moving everything over to Meguiars and still havent had the chance to try poorboys but defo on the list to try. Love the finish from my collinate (sp) wax, makes the car look like its wet once its on. Polish bliss is the site i use to by my stuff.

I use poor boys now, jeebers it is soooo easy to put on and even easier to take off.

I used to always use AG and although good products, the poor boys ease of use won it over for me. I use the black hole stuff as i have a black car and it is great, no white residue in the stone chips, and using the quick detailer i can get a nice shine for a few minutes work between polishes.

Get mine from Polished Bliss.

If you like the AG HD Wax, then you should try the AutoSmart Wax. Just as durable as the HD Wax, goes on easier, easier to remove, and you can do the whole car before removing, even in the sun.

I have the HD Wax, Megs stage 3, Autosmart Wax, Bilt Hamber Autobalm and one of the Poorboys waxes (can't remember the name, but it is a white wax, not coloured) and they all have their uses on different cars.

Are any of the alternatives to Autoglym better if it ends up on plastics or rubbers? Autoglym can leave white marks that are a pain to get off

cheers

yep.the new meguiars ultimate wax! doesnt leave marks on black plastics at all.

autoglym is so out dated and hasnt changed with the times and paints imo.

autoglym dusts like fuck too.you can spend ages chasing that.meguiars and poorboys dont do that.

the meguiars works a treat for me on every car i use.but i do use their yellow wax(trade paste they do).that said the 5 series was done with ultimate wax to test it out

I use autoglym mainly cause I think its good value for money, whats all this about it being hard to buff out? Don't be so lazy, its a little workout thats good for your arms.

I use a bit of everything. Autoglym SRP is probably the best stuff you can use when polishing by hand. Chemical Guys waxes are nice to use. I really rate Zymol Auto Wash too. It's all about finding what works best for you.
