Default puting private plate on car? virgin private plate owner?

hiya folks, gona head thro to my local dvla office tommorw to fit my plate, just to check, i need to take the private plate dvla paper work, my v5, my tax, and my mot ? is that it ? also will the plate then be on my car tommorrow? cheers for any input,, sean

Yeah pretty sure thats all you need and yes you should be able to fit the new plate there and then also dont forget to tell your insurance company

lol cheers mate, yeah ill change the insurance before i use it, had the plate sitting for few weeks now but been well busy, cheers again

you might need to take your insurance with you and taking your driving license wont harm either just in case.

You need to take an insurance certificate for the car in the new registration number

ive never been asked for insurance, just tax disc and mot, the 1st time i did one they did it straight away at the dvla office , second time i had to wait about 4 days before i could put plates on because it had to be done by post..cant remember why

You don't Max, because at the point of going down with the forms it isn't on that new number, and DVLA might need to inspect the car before the paperwork goes through.
