well ive got a few results.
0 - 160 mph in 18 seconds and bear in mind that is still spinning upto 100 mph.
1/4 mile times are terrible im 2 seconds slower 0 - 60 than the skyline at the moment. ive added my best skyline run the green one as reference, now studying it if i can launch like the skyline and then pull as the supra does there and thats on low boost it should easily do a 10.



suspension is on full soft now and does squat abit but its just got so much power it wont have it on the pirellis below 100.

 

Is that trying to run a decent qtr or just mashing the loud pedal and killing the tyres for a qtr mile?
I would of thought it had a low 12 in it on current setup.
Got any in gear comparisions from the gtr to supra?

It has 900hp, if it gets off the line it will smash out a 10 no problem, will simply take practice but it certainly has the power.

Where the GTR was quick off the line I'd imagine this will destroy the GTR's times from the 1/8 onwards.

 

remember all these runs are boost controller off 1.7 bar boost and the car is very new to me still, the 11.6 in the skyline took some practise to get.

you can see from the graph the skyline takes a massive lead at the start 2 seconds ahead at 60 mph, but speed v time i have almost caught up at 130 mph, just gaining that 2 seconds to 60 would be an 11, let alone the exagerated gains as you get through the 1/4, i think the only answer maybe full on drag tyres for a proper full bore launch drag run but i want 140+ mph terminal as a road car though first of all.
how it is set up at the moment is ideal for brunters though it feels very good at speed.
i have just studied data on that shitty run with all the wheel spinning and lower boost i hit 160mph at 2340 ft which is under half a mile

 

yes mate, i think 100 - 160mph in 8 seconds on low boost puts it in perspective, even wheel spinning it shows 150 more whp than the gtr had while gripping. there is literally no grip below 4th gear unless i feather the throttle which in turn cocks my times up lol

im still off rods old times though his 100 - 160 is 7.2 on his old spec on his website, but i guess it would at least match that with the boost controller on at warp factor 9

at the 1/8 mile i am same mph as gtr even though i had a terrible start so goes to show how much im gaining once i get the power down.

My times were set with circa 820bhp so yes you should be more than a match im sure. Of interest is your 70-130 time of 5.43 sec thats exactly what we recorded at Brunters during a 200mph run with circa 780bhp.
So that answers will yours do 200mph there .
Your getting there but that lack of grip needs to be sorted. You should beat the 14.02 0-160 that mine set im sure.

 

Is yours on the Auto or Manual diff ?

When I spoke to Phil he said he is still running the auto diff so its quite lively in the lower gears, his isn't a stroker though nor does it run a turbo as large as yours which is probably whys its slightly more driveable.

Must be immensely fast though, few practice runs should give you a indication of what its capable of.

 

this is hp now bear in mind its accelerometer so it only knows how fast youir accelerating around the earths curve, skyline it chose 3rd gear pull but supra it chose 4th gear as 1st, 2nd and 3rd show not much g as its all wheelspin.



it shows how much more pull it has basically more forward gs in 4th than the gtr had in 3rd.

 

i only have the graph above for time rod, but 0 - 100 mph is all literally 1/4 throttle lol

so if your skyline had raced your supra on a few dual cariiage ways the skyline would have done it over???

 

oh dear mo do i really need to explain it mate, from 3rd gear it would kill it, look at the graph above, the skyline takes a 2 second lead to 60 mph then the supra starts taking it back and it would have passed the gtr in a half mile race. i cannot stress how difficult it is trying to get 660 rwhp on the ground, imagine what its going to be like at 760 rwhp !

 

Not unless the Skyline made the Supra stop to show off its grip . It would be no contest in-gear on the move.

 

it has too much power imo, im going to remove the smallest wastegate spring and then try a custom boost curve to try bring the power in smoother. at the moment even with boost controller off it still hits 1.7 bar !
i will never want a faster car thats for sure, need some ao48s aswell when these crappy pirellis are bald, i dont think it will be long lol

i think its still manula diff ratio, it has a 1.5 way carbonetics in it, it hit 160 mph on the limiter in 5th which indicates stock ratio diff for my tyres.

 

sorry mate when i look at graphs i dont understand em. if u raced the skyline then you will be spinning all over the place wouldnt you .. while the skyline gets off[ 0'60 better time] by the time you catch it you will have to slow down for the next roundabout.. then the skyline will get a massive headstart again lol

 

rod. would your car be quicker than this?? on the brunters then surely it is?

 

i can no where near compete with 1st and 2nd gear no matter how lightly i touch the throttle at 5k rpm it spins 3rd it will grip but only at 1/4 throttle then its warp factor 9.
but yes point to point my skyline would beat me well it wouldnt as i can just turn the traction control on but i havnt as i dont like it.
ive got it on the right setting now and it works quite smooth but theres only so smooth it can be as it has a massive amount of power it has to tempoarily dissable to get traction again. i will find more grip without traction control with different tyres, suspension and boost control.

 

i would like to try at some point, ideally a day at brunters with me and rod would be my first choice, im a country boy i dont like it to busy and crowded lol

 

Even the 4i would beat you to 1000ft lol, and that was with only 370bhp

Truth is i dont know, this is a very quick car as is mine. I give it respect & dont start to say mine would be quicker, when this car is sorted.
The Supra Topspeed record is 213.8mph but that car had well over 1000bhp a Sierra should pull that with 900bhp. Mark mapped Leon Greens Supra with over 1000bhp & thought mine was probably as fast with 840bhp but at this level its difficult to tell & you certainly cant race on the local bypass as you suggest . You cant & dont understand how fast these cars are unless you go out for a ride the in-gear grunt is on a different level to a 600/700bhp Cossie which actually feel slow .

 

should be roughly the same i havnt had the supra on weigh bridge yet, the only data the weight affects is hp and lbft, if anything the supra is heavier so will take more power to make same gs on gtech so will display more hp, the hp isnt accurate but its useful for comparison purposes.

 

steve mate the power is uncomprehendable in comparison so a stage 3 cossie mate lol its in a whole new dimension so to speak.

but yes you would beat me at present as would lots of cars, ive got the rear suspension on full soft and it is squating a bit but it hasnt done didly squat for grip

as you can see im not even exceeding the skylines forward gs until the top of 3rd gear which is 100 mph.
it works the hp out buy how much forward gs its pulling, now if you look at the graph 3rd gear in the skyline peaks at 400 whp, 6th gear in the supra peaks at 400 whp !
with grip like the skyline has it should make its most power in 1st and second gear then tail off as the gears get bigger, but the supra is doing the opposite ! i am missing the awd lol
according to the gtr run i should have 60 more whp from 4th gear compared to second gear, so i should have 610 whp in second gear with grip but im only getting 300 !

ive just found my local stockist on toyo uk, gonna order 2 new 295/30/19s tommorrow, hopefully will have grip in 3rd then and can use racelogic for 1st and 2nd if necessary.
the 305s i have at the moment are ment for minimum 10.5" rim and im on 10" im sure that isnt helping either there massivly bulging out of the side of the rim

in gear comparison both 4th gear full grip flat out, supra was at about 1.7 bar around 680 rwhp.



skyline is 4 seconds, supra 3 seconds 100 - 130 mph, so 25% increase in in gear acceleration, which seems about right imo going from 480 rwhp to 680 rwhp.

this car would suck in race from lights to light but on a open road it would be an animal. How would this compare to the new GTR?

 

In what way the GTR has 530bhp/485ft-lb this Supra is claiming 900bhp/680ft-lb. Ever seen the vid of mine destroying Yum much the same would happen over 100mph. Your not really getting how fast a car with that amount of Power is think Veyron not production GTR once there is grip. It would be 20mph faster down Brunters.

 

O ok Just thought being 4wd and with all the trick gadgets it would hold its own pretty well. my uncle has one and it just seems to hit 100 but you even know whats happend.

 

give me a chance, ive had it 3 weeks and had issues to sort, just started testing and looking at traction now.
if i can match the gtrs 0 - 100 of 8 seconds on road tyres il be happy.
