I work for Tarmac & sometimes that's has to be done! You can't leave a whole job because of 1 car as road space has to be booked & residents have to be notified well in advanced. Not all councils will have the right powers to move them either so will mean picking it up another day before the jobs completed. Looks like a surface dressing anyway so no major drama!

Do they just go back and fill in the bits at a later date then? As surely they cant leave it like that as without the kerb to provide an edge to it that will all just peel away?

They should have brought out a range of gaffa tape in specific mondeo paint code colours

Fucking shocking design by ford, total fuckup, how can they get something so simple so fucking wrong?

SO many half decent cars scrapped over dings to both bumpers as they are like rocking horse shite to try and find cause everyone else has done the same thing.

They should have been sued for negligance by the owners!

Does look like surface dressing. By time they get the car moved it will be in need of being redone anyway as it doesn't last 5 minutes. Authorities like it as it's cheap so they get more roads done for their money. They'd do better not wasting it on shit and surfacing the road properly.

I would have dragged the piece of shit out the way

and yes mk2 bumpers are like eggshells, i used to use my old TD mk1 mondeo to push my scrap cars around, never did more than damage the paint, all i did in my MINT mk2 zetec was nudge a lampost and it shattered like glass :@

Nope. I do work for a local authority and on the whole find surface dressing to be a cheap and nasty way of getting a couple more years out of a road surface. I'm sure when it's done right it might be ok, but it's usually thrown together by people that couldn't care less.
