Your car must be a shed, cos most of the people on here care too much about their cars to run the risk of having it crushed.
The name on the invoice usually confirms ownership of the car, 90% time same as registered keeper, but doesn't have to be.
It is annoying people not taxing or insuring their cars, that is why i reckon scrap both and put the price of petrol up, I know it would be alot, so at least you pay for what you use and unless you own a refinery, bit harder to get round.

You may own you're house.. well own the freehold to your house, but technically the queen owns the land. The freehold gives you the right to reside there permanently. In theory the queen, well more like the government on behalf of the queen can take your land from you. to build new roads, railways, airfields etc. Paying you compensation.
Your car however you do actually own... but of course if you were to use it on public property, then you have to abide by the laws in place.

Still not took the advise about stopping the crack then.
Regardless of what you've heard or think your totally and utterly wrong.
If you drive any car on a public road without tax, mot, insurance you Will get stopped an when you try an tell plod that the "government doesn't own the car you do instead" then not only will you get points and a fine you risk getting taken to the loony bin for chatting utter bollox..
