standard bolts will do if you use ARP bolts they got a tendency to pull the threads out , why not go for 10 long studs .

thought 6 would be plenty for 500ish bhp
and dont want the hassle off having to mod my water pump, although i m not even sure what has to be done to it

6 is plenty for 500hp 10 is just belt & braces you would have to get your impeller on the water pump machined down as 1 of the front bolts go straight through where the water pump goes

Beef you do know they crack blocks? Not ll the time but has been very common for anything up to and around 550bhp, 6 studs and four STD bolts on ends, perfect!

The blades need machined to clear the longstud IIRC

Just use 4 normal bolts Dan

I simply used a 2wd pump on my Escort, no blades machining needed then.
