how to stop or protect before rust in the maneframe?
Hello Gents!
I do work on my Fun Car (St converted Escort 95) for years now!
And like yesterday i was fixing a very little area of rust on the outside of the rear maneframe!
Then i thought it might be a good idea to take a look into the MF.
So i started to make a little hole (about 5x2,5cm) to have a nice window for watching!
It did not look to badly in there, but there was suraface rust alle over (slightly brown u know!) so is started to prepare the little area i can reach from there with white rust "converter/remover".
And then i closed the window again!
Now the mane question, how can i realy stop that rust in these areas i cant reach?
I canot open or change the mane areas of the MF in a few years... (we have TÜV, they´ll kick my A..S! )
I spray every winter sealent in thease areas and do have a look if new stonechip is neccesary!
But as seen it seemes to be not enough!
How do u "pro´s" do that?
I know, a car (espacialy a normal Escort) is just a "thing" for a while not a lifetime, but its just 16years old...
