Default 330mm discs

Had aps on the 3dr but now wondering if the extra expense for gen ap discs is worth it, anyone have experience of other brands on a saff 4x4.

May go s/h route depending on feedback

Are you talking about just the disc to use with ap calipers and bells? If so for the price difference over the likes of compbrake discs i would get AP stuff from Reyland.

If your meaning a totaly different brake set up ?
Ive had AP's ,Brembos and now Alcons all work well but the AP's were the best looking.

If your just wanting a performance upgrade without the cost , have a look here they work really well and still fill out the wheels.

I've got 330mm AP Racing discs on my ST220. They needed replacing last year, AP wanted something £600 for a pair of rotors...

Used Godspeed in the end, £350 ish.

lucky you ...

i had a set custom made for my saff ... they cracked from the bell mounting holes on the disc .. ians reply .. because i brake too hard ... and then i got ignored .. no matter what i did he wouldnt talk about the problem ..

he did replace the discs first time but i had to pay ... the second time the same thing happened i got totally ignored no replies to text messages or pm's through bulletin borards ... wouldnt even answer the phone to me ..

would rather have spent the extra and went to martin hadland in hindsight ...

I had a comp brake set up on my saff before going aps they were crap and would fade out very fast may be not the rotors fault more likly to be the calipers not dissipating the heat so well or i guess it could have been the rotors not cooling them selfs via the vents very well? my aps are much better they are reyland ones but were an ass to fit as i got them second hand for 500 pounds but they had been made for something else and had odd bells but got there in the end

I got a set of rear brakes of him for my Gtir. He didn't include any spacers to fill the gap between the FLAT mounting bracket and the caliper carrier and you had to grind part of the caliper carrier off to miss the nuts and bolts holding the bell to the discs
He claimed to have sent spacers 3 times. Bull!!!

Good (in a way) to hear that I'm not the only one to have issues with GodSpeed, shame he doesn't live up to his company name when dealing with his customers.

I wouldn't waste my hard earned on him again !!

Porsche big reds are very good calipers and will work fine on a saff with good pads.

May well be similar size to the ones fitted to 406 coupe's.
I know that when the 996 turbo came out using the brembo 4 pots front and rear it was ment to have the best brakes fitted to any production car at the time.

Just fit focus Rs discs and pads direct fitment, 406 ones aren't and may not work without modifying for the 328mm focus Rs discs either.
