Default Friends, favours, and no-shows?

Someone promised to help me with some welding on my car and would come and do it last week.
No-show, so I called him and he said he would do it yesterday instead. I went over in the morning and confirmed we were OK for the afternoon.
No-show, so I called and he said he'd be here at 10 this morning.
No-show. Now, we had a little snow but nothing that has affected travel or even the phones but I've heard nothing.

If I get someone else and pay them to come and do the job, should I be bothered if he is upset?

No. He'll probably be relieved. If he wanted to help he would have by now.

In a word NO!

Your friend shouldnt shite on his own doorstep ie. don't fuck a friend over!!

I have a guy who was "building" my saxo vts turbo project as i was working in southern france at the time. 3.5 years later and im still owed £1700 of the cash he took off me for various "parts that where bought" ie. the money was taken but no parts where got!
