they're a bit wierd... nice to drive i guess but 'feel' slower than they are actually moving. they handle nice enough, the flooding isn't a problem if you read the handbook properly, easily cured too with a squirty oil can and spark plug socket

ill never forget taking my mum and dad to look at one when they first came out as they were looking to buy one.
the salesman at mazda told us there and then that they are unreliable, use lots of oil and if they flood they have to be recovered into mazda to get it started again.

needless to say, they didnt buy one!

My dad has a 231bhp one and does an average per tank of 12mpg. Often 9 depending on driving style. He loves it but since he don't pay for fuel, he would lol
I'd expect a standard FRS mk1 to give one a good run so most cossies too.

Bought 1 a few weeks ago, as posted above the flooding isn't an issue if you read the manual on what not to do when shunting the car when cold etc, great handling and well balanced RWD, sounds nice, good quality interior etc.

The big issue is the mpg's you get, obviously I knew this before I bought the car and it's the main reason they have devalued so much.

Bought this one in the end, full mazda service history and 17k on the clock for under 6k on an 05 reg

The only reason I wouldn't buy one is when it goes wrong, what the fook do you do with it? Can't say I, or anyone I know, knows the first thing about a rotary!

why does it need to rev past 9k, i was under the impression that the mazdaonly has a 1400cc engine in real terms, but they have boosted the out put
