Default s2 boost issues

hi all ,my sister bought a mfi rs turbo cabriolet that is a non runner, just recently managed to get it running it had a breather pipe missing that goes from rocker cover to fuel metering unit.

the car runs very sweet but the turbo dosent seem to be doing anything, it has a boost gauge and when you drive the car it only goes to "0". and carnt ever seem to hear the turbo,

All the boost hoses are mint and on tight, it hasnt got a dump valve fitted. however it has been fitted with adjustable boost valve, tried turning this in and out and makes no difference, took the hose of the turbo and checked that the compressor wheel is free to rotate and dosent have any free play.

i dont know where to from there so any pionters would be mint. thanks

I would go with issues with the actuator. Sounds like it's not holding any pressure.

you can feel the resistance by trying to pull the actuator arm away from the diaphram end, to check waste gate is shut i would dissconnect actuator arm to see if the wastegate is moving, then reconnect the arms you should have to pull actuator arm a bit to slide it over wastegate arm, hope this helps mate, confuse myself sometimes trying to write it lol,
