Default Help neede on 05 tdi transit connect

right i aquired a van recently thats had an engioe swap but some right bodgers

basicaly they changed the engine pump and injectors from a older vehicle it this 05 plate

the 05 plate runs a different diesel pump and injectors (which they binned)

i now need to get hold of said pump and injectors to make the thing work but new ford pump is 650+ vat and injtors are 120 each +vat

can anyone help? me find the pump and injectors i need at a better price? as 05 is change over year to when they all went commonrail

appartnly 05 pumps only work on 05 vans

A mondeo and a transit fwd share the 2 litre dura which is a totally different engine from the transit connect. I dont understand what has been done with your injectors and pump. If it has no common rail then that complete engine may well be wrong and possibly one from an escort. Quick pic I could tell...

early connects were tdi endura engines, when emission laws changed in 2005 ford used a different pump and injectors to reduce smoke emissions, he engine thats let go had said pump and injectors

when the engine was changed for an earlyer model buy the looks of it, they changed complete engine and diesel pump (according to the numbers i gave to ford technical this morning)

the injectors and pump are not compatible with the 2005 wiring and ecu, if they hadn't changed them id have been fine and working, unfortunately i cant get the original parts as i dont no where the engine was changed.

so i need a certain fuel pump and injectors from the 05/55 plate 75ps vehicle

the early tdi 1.8, 2.0 and tdci pumps will not work

Your van has common rail as standard. This is completely the wrong engine that is fitted. Even if the block, head and internals are the same which they may well not be its not just as simple as bolting the correct pump and injectors on. Loads of other stuff go with it. It would be easier to source another connect as a donor.

according to Ford the van is tdi not tdci meaning it needs the model of pump i fitted dose not match up to what it should have it needs a bosch pump not delphi as per common rai engines this is what ford technical are telling me
