cvh oil pressure
what the ideal presure on a cvh,??
from cold mine is 80psi but when hot is 10psi, no oil light comes on but when hot under load of say 3000rpm its about 15psi, i took the sump off and cleaned the pick up and checked my sheels but there ok and the oil pump is only about a 8k old, the engine is a little "cammy" when you lift off but doesnt knock or smoke

from memory mine is about 15-18psi at idle and at 3k in the 40s.
What oil are you using - 10w40 to 15w50 i hope?

i had this problem when i built a 3.0 twin tubo jobby on cold was getting around 60psi but when hot went down to about 8psi oil pump crapped it self,also when i took the rockers off as that was a bit tappy,there was no sighn of oil on the inside of the rockers so i checked my shells and that and you could see the bronze coming through,thats when i saw my arse broke the engine made 2000 on it and bought a yb lol
