You have 2 choices,

Either get a rear disc set up from a rs2000, the stub axles bolt on. They have a hand break stumbling aswell.

Or

Fit a mk5 fiesta zetec s beam ( improves handling to. ) and use focus stub axles and rear discs.

Or.....

Leave the drums on there as they will stop the car just fine no matter what you do with the engine. If they can stop my mates 400bhp Fiesta they'll stop your XR2i. Fiesta ST brakes up front are a good bet though and will help you stop a lot quicker

i no that drums dont really do a bad job but a rear disc conversion looks the part aswell as works better, how easy are the parts to find and which would be the easiest/cheapest option ??

bin looking around eBay and would i be right in thinking the second option would be easiest to get the parts for ?

and as for option 1 wot mk rs2000 would i be looking to rob the parts off ? mk5 ? or would they all be the same ?

discs are all show and no go on the rear of a light hatch, you will have to back the brake bias off soo much to stop them locking before the fronts that they will be doing just the same ammount of breaking effort as the original discs, plus they will rot a lot quicker on the back as they wont be working that hard. I personnaly would spend the money on the fronts.
