Dont think it will be possible to register it then, but pop into BMW and ask.

UPDATE you can run a normal battery on it but has to be the correct rating for it to be registered....the one i put on is not BUT i rescued the old one and charged it up all ok so hopefully the dealers are fitting that as they want £130 + vat for a new one! Airbag lights off £70 + vat

you are happy that you've got to pay a dealer £70+ vat to turn off a light on the dash because the battery is fucked?

but not prepared to pay £130 for a battery for an m5? thats cheaper than the retial price of a transit battery!
