1.6 Zetec Turbo?

Ok so most people turbo the 1.8 or 2.0 but the rising price of fuel got me thinking about economy and how the CVH with it's high BSFC is not the best engine for pennies vs power!
So what about a 1.6 ZT using a Escort 1.6 Si lump?
That would be more economical off boost than a CVH, 1.8 or 2.0 Zetec but can surely produce as much power in turbo charged form as a CVH can?
Or of course there is the Duratec 1.6 found in the Fiesta Zetec S's to consider as well.
I'm thinking about this for my own car if I ever decide to lose the CVH so would be a proper build with forged pistons, rods, etc..
My main thought it what does the head flow like in standard form?
The 2.0 Zetec head will happily flow 350bhp with just valve springs but what are the 1.6 heads like?
Remember... This is about economy not outright power, 250bhp for example is plenty in my little Cabby so I dont want 20 posts saying "Just go 2.0" please!
lol
All input welcome cheers!

I believe the head design is quite restrictive on the 1.6 Zetec, so I think you'd struggle to make good power. I think it's very limited for modification too. I'm sure I've read somewhere that there isn't much that can be done to improve it due to it not having much metal that can be removed.
Far better to start with a 1.8/2.0 lump. Obviously I'm not sure how much this would apply once you were running a nice big turbo and things, but in standard form, there is sod all difference in economy between the 1.6 and 1.8 in the real world (even my 2.0 converted MK6s seem to have been just as economical as 1.6/1.8 cars in normal driving), so using a 1.6 may not even prove much more economical!
