Stripped interiors and MOT's
Am i right in thinking that if its not there it carnt be tested? or is it case of it should be there so yes it can?

i think in the main you're right but i'd get clarification from your tester as to any exceptions. for instance i came across someting on a landrover forum with regards to removing anti-roll bars...aparently thats a fail.

just asked me mate whose an mot tester he said if you remove it all buckles and all then it should pass an mot as they'll class it as having 1 less seat

righty oh.. The whole lots gonna be stripped for resto work but need the ticket on it to move it about.. ill take the seats out and leave the belts and go from there

another random one..i once had a bloke in at work who claimed he coulddnt afford a new windscreen so cut it out and had it tested without..it failed but said the tester said it would of passed if he had his windscreen wipers on..which he did and passed..i vaguely remember reading this while doing my apprenticeship but not sure if im mixing things up..is this true?
