MK1 FOCUS RS or BMW E46 M3?

hope the bmw cars will not loose too much money in the time you own them.
the rs cars seem to be staying put or rising in value.
very nice cars though and i was looking at them myself, even made an offer on Paul Ripleys car, but he decide not to sell it just yet.

dont get me wrong, the cossies are great cars in there own right, ive grown old with them, but every car will need money spent on it, i mean i spent fortunes on the cossies i had, but i love the m3, only want a cossie to feel the bang in the back again, when turbo kicks in, if i could afford it, i would have both, lol

Mk1 FRS is a bit special, but in terms of capability there's really no comparison. In the right hands the E46 is a far more capable car than even the Mk2 FRS.
The M3 does have an image problem as some have pointed out, all BMW's seem to go this way as values drop below 15k.

everybody pankicks about smg because the internet we have seen them that dont fail then there is the odd one that needs a smg relay or a pump that can be expensive but might never happen its not like you buy smg & think its gonna go anytime! i know a smg one thats done 140k miles & only ever been serviced , ball joints & rear springs ! just pure luck they drive very very nice & go well. its all down to what you prefer i would have a smg one ! its like buying a x5 3.0d 7 thinking is the turbo going to go might never happen

both are decent cars in there on right however as a lump of metal the m3 would win hands down in every area.
M3 would be quicker by a long way
more toys inside
probably more comfy
rwd
etc
Plus you just jump in an m3 and drive it and dont need to fuck about with it and want big exhasts and big turbos and remaps to make it interesting. I can guarentee a standard focus wuld get boring way more quickly than a standard m3

I'll be messaging you on the playstation then as i'm sure you haven't got that at work
Thing is i still LOVE driving the Cossie every single time (Maybe not when it breaks lol) but a friend has just got a E46 and it just ooozes appeal. Didn't expect to get sucked in, but it really has...
Thing is the only colour i would have is Imola Red one, but as it was a limited colour they seem to be a tad more pricey against a normal colour (blue/grey) reguardless of history/condition.

M8 of mine has recently bought one and turned up at the door with it all sparkly after a detail and its actually a stunning colour. Bit like the green FRS, looks quite naff IMO until your up close and see the flip in the paint etc at which point it looks stunning.
He has some CSL rims on his and it just looks amazing.
