you got that stupid cheap from what I read on the other forum, I'd have had itmyself had i seen it befor you.

Mind if I ask what you got it for? Seen a few getting cheap now. Think they're fantastic motors. Don't feel as strong low down as you'd expect from a big engine, but when you get up to high revs, think they pull really well, I'd love one

theses are a lovely modern car. Nice one. Do some of theses st220's still come under the high road tax bracket.

At the moment the 3.0 Petrol ST is Ł245 a year.

(Whereas mine is Ł155 )

My Mondeo is Ł235 a year and it's a 10 year old 1.8

my mrs uses ours round town and averages 20mpg. The fuel bill is the only thing i dont like about em!

Its only a matter of time before i have to go diesel tho.

Wll you be getting a st tdci then or will you be getting another car.

The wife has a mk5 1.25 fiesta and she goes through 200 quid a month on fuel going to and back from work.She does about 250 mile a week.

I wouldnt mind the st tdci but think it'll just feel shit compared so i may just get her a 307 hdi or summat cus i only drive it on a weekend anyway so costing me a fortune for a little treat at the weekend.

Iirc the road tax goes upto Ł450 for the 06 onwards ones,

I've had both an ST220 and currently an ST TDCI,

It was only the fuel bills that put me off getting another 220, TDCi averages between 45-50mpg and only Ł155 for 12months road tax.

The ST220s are awesome cars, most people that have ever driven one will agree.

Is yours a 5 or 6 speeder fella ?

mines an 02 plate and i get 24-28mpg around town and 32-35mpg on a run.

ps. 5 speed are the quickest

awsum cars just make sure u keep the oil just over the line at all times or ur looking at a rebuild as i found out to my cost lol steve theres no way ur getting 35mpg m8 i drove like a saint on my way back from paris and only got 27.6mpg tell me wot i,m doing wrong lol
