I had starting problems with my old diesel and the glow plugs were the first thing I thought off too but it turned out just to be the battery. It sounded as if it was turning OK but diesels might need a bit more oomph! The cold weather maybe finishing it off. Wouldn't a glowplug failure show up on the dash?
