Mates missus has a 2005 Astra and it's dropped power and sounds like it's running on three. I got my mate to do the test sequence (depressing throttle and brake and then tuning ignition lights on).

Codes came up as

0301 - I have this as cylinder 1 missfire

and

1116
1300
2108

Which I have no information on. Can anybody help as I know teh next text will be "can you have a look at it"

I'd imagine its the coilpack mate, depending what engine it is some use a one piece coilpack and I've had a similar fault on several cars at work that ended up in it needing a new one.

As for codes, I'd only advise googling it !

Coilpack was my first thought mate but thought it was worth checking the codes before doing anything else.

Is it a 1.6 8v as we had the same problem with my wifes astra, we reset the ecu and fitted new plugs and leads and touch wood has been sound ever since, thats about a year now and it was the first problem we had ever had.

1.6 petrol is the only info I've been given. Makes it easy don't he?

Just got the plate and it's a Z16XEP engine code.

If it's not the plug, coil or injector then as its a Vauxhall I would say the ecu
