Was out and about yesterday and I got to a large traffic light controlled crossroads. A lad squeezes through to the front the queue and pulls across in front of me (in front of the stop line) then proceeds to rev the nuts off his little hairdryer. The lights go green and he gives it death leaning forwards as he pulls off. Didn't do him any favours as I had overtaken him before we'd even crossed the junction.

Why do moped rider think they are quick? Why do they not understand they are on the lowest rung of the motoring food chain?

Most of the street hawks, moped boys in our town come out just as the girls come out of the collage then they are up and down the street trying to impress them with their 2 stroke smoke and high speeds of 29 mph.

What pisses me off is when your in a truck you overtake them in town then when you stop at the lights the come up beside you and stop in front of you so their in your effing way again.

A few years back I was walking through town, it was busy traffic and I saw some bloke get out of his car, walk over to some chopsy little cunt on a moped, and just pushed him off onto the ground

They actually make a smaller scooter slow start due to the variator openin so the ratio is not as good for quick start.

It's been snowing here (as everywhere!) and yesterday I saw a complete dick riding a 50cc moped with his helmet on the top half of his head! If he came off the first thing to leave would have been his helmet! On the plus side the daft cunt couldn't receive brain damage

I was looking into getting one as I had raised Ł150 to buy my uncles old one, but the cheapest insurance was Ł400 Then theres Ł110 for the cbt, Ł40 odd for MOT, then tax, then petrol and spares for when the fucker breaks, all so a 16 year old chav can try to pull a 15 year old mum of 4 Glad I didn't buy that moped though, as I would just become the thing I hate (Scrotes who think they're all that because they can rev an engine)

I was on the way home the other day on a single carriageway, car in front of me was doing about 45 and I could hear this little 50cc behind me (was one of those replica bikes, like an aprilia). It took him nearly half a mile to overtake me his bike was screaming, then he had to dart inbetween me and the car in front because another car was coming. Then the car in front pulled off the road and I was stuck behind him for 5 miles of twisties because he pulled into the middle of the road to stop me from getting past him!!! PR*CK!!!

Not all Moped riders are chavs looking to get some clunge. Some (Including me when I had mine!) of them are honest riders who obey the rules of the road and only bought them because they are cheap to buy, cheap to run and maintain, and thus, supplied us with a means of transport. What else can a 16 year old use to get to work 20 miles away at 3am?

Also, do not think for a second that car drivers are perfect. Coming from a Riders point of view, there are some utter cunts out there in cars, and most of you in this thread probably do not realize it as you have most likely never been on the road with a Moped/Motorbike. For example, I would get this on a daily basis back in the day....

1. Yes, I am aware my Bike only does 30mph flat out and I may be holding you up slightly on this 40mph road, but is there any need to drive 5cm away from my rear tire?

2. Right, it's snowing/raining. I better take it easy....Oh, what's this? Another wanker driving too close to my rear tire. If I come off, you have no chance in hell of stopping in time and my head will end up getting intimate with your cars tyres.

3. Ok, your overtaking. I don't have an issue with that....Until you decide to overtake on a fucking blind bend/crest, or, overtake then instantly turn left into the next junction, causing me to take evasive action. Excuse me while I smack off your wing mirror as I ride past.

I agree that 95% of Moped riders are chavs who deserve nothing more than a hole in the head, but please remember that some of them out there are honest riders, who would like nothing more than for you car drivers to show a little courtesy and common sense.
