Hi people.

I own a Ford Focus ST225 and had it only 11 months from new. I went on holiday for 10 days. When I got back, i try to unlock the car door with the remote key and it didnt unlock. So I have to used the manual key to open it causing the alarm and lights flashing. SO thenI try to push the start power button and nothing came on and the immobilizer locked all the steering.
The AA man came and said is something to do with the keys frequency not been able to detect by the car and there was anything wrong with the battery!!!

So The AA keys assist came and did all the checks like the fuse box etc and still unable to find the problem. So the car have to be toll to the Ford garage.

I just wonder if anyone can help to located the problem as Ford garage dont even know what it is and they are useless. I have told Ford UK already but there is nothing they can do.!!!!

dose the car have a flashing immobilizer light fitted at all?

of course, Well I think so because is a new car.??

I did some research online and there are problem with the Keyless car key with the ST. Some said is because the computer/ECU didnt sense my remote or lost of code. Ford garage rang today and said it might be the motorlock whatever that mean. Do you know what is the most common problem with the ST as I try to find out as much as I can. many thanks Miller3

sounds to me like the car modules have crashed and need a reboot or the key isnt being recognised by the car,either faulty key or the antenna inside isnt working.surely should bring up some fault codes i would of thought
