Question FAO Folks From Dundee, Aberdeen, etc.

Hi all,

I was going to head up to Aberdeen tonight. I'd be driving up the M90 and then the A90. I was just wondering what these roads are like, and whether I'd be wasting my time? Don't want to get stuck and have to turn back or anything.

So what's it like up there? Your help would be much appreciated.

I haven't been near Aberdeen, but up in Peterhead the roads have still got a covering but are safe enough to drive on, with a bit of care. I would imagine the main roads are fine by now though

Cheers. I'm thinking the main roads should be ok.

Anyone else been up the A90 to Aberdeen?

I'd leave a bit of extra time for the journey in case you run into slower moving traffic or some shit weather, but one of my mates has just driven from Glasgow City Centre to Dundee and said that the roads were ok.. took him about 2.5 hours which isn't far off what it normally takes him.

Cheers,
Grant

Thanks. Looks like it should be ok then. I'll see what the weather is like here after I've had some dinner before I decide what to do.

roads are fine. I left Dumbarton at 12 today and I was in Aberdeen for 1500, and that was going no more than 70mph

Just to echo what other have said; my colleague drove from Aberdeen to Clydebank late this afternoon with no problems at all.

I travelled back from inverness to lancashire yesterday, and apart from a little snow at perth, we had a pretty clear run. Probably of no use but i am not from scotland!
