yea seems that way of a saxo/106, my mates giving me a 5 door saxo vsx rolling shell for £50, i may aswell buy a cheap vts for £400 and reshell it into that, il then use that car as a run around too when im unbanned, i just need somewhere to keep a car atm as in the process of moving.

i rang dean about the blue vts on here, hes goin to wait till auction ends on ebay first, but il then get back in touch with him if it doesnt go

those civic coupe's are immensly slow for what they are but handle well, ive drove a d16z6 coupe before and wasnt impressed compared to my old b16

Has anyone ever put a 206 gti 140 or 180 lump into a 106 or saxo? Wonder what that would be like?

the 206 gti engine isnt best anyway mate, even the xud9t is easier to put in a saxo/106 than that!

5door vts would be cool

Was just an idea bud, sounds like a bad one then lol! Probably the reason I've never seen it done.

Why go to the trouble of re-shelling a VTS into a 5 door?

because alot of vts are abused pal and rust and are cheap, plus my insurance is cheaper on a 1.5d, this 5 doors a 03 and is mint, plus a 130bhp 5 door would be a bit of a sleeper!, 5door weighs less than a vts believe it or not

Surely for a hillclimb car it wouldn't matter about bodywork? Plus if it is abused then surely all the parts you need from the VTS will be abused too!? e.g. engine/box/suspension etc. As for insuring it as a standard 1.5d on the road, that's just plain silly mate!

Bolts straight in, no fab work needed other than an MGF lower engine steady bracket needs welding to the Metro subframe. You do need a knowledge of what various bits to use off what model though.

Metro is a good shout. my mate loves them. i really wanted to buy his old one with a lotus elise engine, but i didnt have the money at the time. drove it a few times, went really well.

He loves his metro's, this another one of his old ones, this went very well also. he even put a private plate on it, K18 TRO = 1.8 TRO

then put throttle bodies and ditch the vvc in favour of standard arrangement but with better cams and emerald or similar then should see about 200bhp probably cost a tad more than the budget tho lol

I'd go 1o6 or clio as mentioned. Both weak geatboxs tho
Yes, but most decent Zetec-S Fiesta go for far more than that.

Clearly the Puma engine you fitted was fucked, as a 1.7 engine'd Fiesta is a good bit quicker than a Zetec-S. If it wasn't, people wouldn't bother doing it would they

Theres no chance of supercharging a j4 engine for less than £1500 pal, need management and other wee bits, too much work imo

That ax had shit loads spent on it, the engines now in a saxo
