Can you run a race technology dash or aim dash from a pectel t2 ecu?
Thinking of ecu's for the fiesta cossie and there are a few pectel t2 ecu's that have come up for sale for good money at £350 each so as a t6 is 4 times the money and a bit overkill for a cossie track toy I'm considering the t2,
Just want to know if you can read direct from one with a race technology dash2 or aim dash etc,

My MG runs T2 and an AIM dash and it works great, T6 is better though as you can input more stuff into the ecu (oil pres, fuel pres etc) which you can then have displayed on the dash but with T2 you simply have to wire up the sensors and input them into the dash directly.
Would you say it's a good option for the Price then Martin as £350 for the ecu on open developer compared to t6 is very cheap and
To be honest I think if I was to step up I'd go for life racing f88 over t6 as it's a new ecu that's in currently still being produced and is approx £1200 new so still better value than t6 I think.
Seriously? I know it can't talk to a Pectel monitor, so I thought that if it couldn't do that, it couldn't data stream to a dash. I stand corrected then and learn something new each day .
Aaah, so does that mean the dashes are being piggy backed off the hairbrush connections on a T2 like the SECS monitors then (rather than data streaming from CAN etc like T6 does)?
I just had a chat with tommy at FMS about them and he said the same, they may need another speed input added if there fo N/A to map the boost and a couple of other board mods which will soon bump the price up,
It's Chris Birkbeck who has the ecu's so may be worth giving him a shout, he wants £350 each or £325 if buying 2

How many outputs can it display to the dash?
L8 etc can talk to a monitor but not dash 2 etc which confused me!

No it doesn't mean that at all Mike! Have this...

As said above set the pectel to "stack" output serial comms.... cannot map with the dash connected so may change a few things (eg/ fan control) you do when mapping.

Will let you know mate. When you coming for holiday?
I will defo take you up on this at some time, but need daughter to be a little older to cope with the length of the flight (she's a very hyper 7 going on 12 ) .
Yes, here's a couple of better pics of the cam trigger install using a Cosworth YB cam trigger with EECIV crank sensor and bracket. Had to drill and tap one M6 threaded hole otherwise straight fit.
