Gauges in mk4 Escorts?
As i think i have now decided to keep the Gartrac
I'm going to need some gauges as i've removed the "fast and furious" rev counter and boost gauge that came with it!
There seems to be less choice in where you can put them in the Escort compared to the Sierra though so i need some inspiration
Before i decide to just go the whole hog and buy a proper stack set-up can you people show me your dash's as it may help

I am not really a fan of the Defi look But I think Tony's installation is really very good!
I remember from one of the shows last year (I think it was Nomads stand at the earlier Donno Spares day) they had a new carbon or plain fibre moulding that went along the top of the dash in the mk4. It had space fro three guages where TOny's are (on that flat bit of dash above the centre heater vents) and to keep it looking smooth it extended to cover the bit above the glove box aswell. It actually looked really good, and obviously the plain fibre version could be painted to match the dash.
If it was me I'd have three on one of those mouldings, then a "clocks" set up like Tony's (ACT + Stack RPM with digi speedo, but change the water temp to a boost guage like Jules said), and maybe one in the A piller if needed (boost, oil temp, oil pressure, water temp, might need another?)

just finding my feet
why do peeps stick gauges on the passengerside of the dash , surely ya cant see it when ragging the car so is a bit pointless
im gonna mount min in a secret location that will be more usefull that on the passenger side

Gaz are those surrounds available off the shelf as i could do with something asap as at the moment i have no gauges what so ever!
I think i'm going to go for a proper stack dash later in the year and keep it un-cluttered
