Default Computer bods read within pls

2009 Apple mac mini (2.26 core 2 duo)

It has 1GB ram and I need 4

What kind of ram do I need and where is best to buy it? I assume a 4GB kit (2 x 2)

also what is the fastest / biggest hard drive I can put in? I think as its a mac mini, it needs a thinner HD, laptop style

thanks!

Get those updates while you can. The new mac book air (and following apple products) are not upgradable as all components will be soldered to the mother boards. Even apple wont upgrade them for you, they will just suggest purchasing the latest model when they release it a few years later.

There is no doubt that thier rigs etc are good for what they are. Simple, user friendly, basic systems. Just for the money they charge you dont get alot.
I was genuinely shocked to see someone reviewing the macbook air and opening it up to find everything soldered in, thats just taking computer tech and going backwards.

It does boil down to cost with mac.
For their mid range "mac pro" the same money would get you an "Alienware Area-51 ALX" which would out perform it all day long, and comes with a monitor, printer etc etc..
