Default saph 4x4 keeps cuting out

will start up 1st time then could go 1 mile or even 10mile and cuts out. Thought it was the fuel switch in boot so bypassed that and still does it. Once it cuts out it wont start straight away but if u wait a lil while will fire up. Heard it could be the ignition module on passenger side inner wing as it gets too hot. Any1 had smiliar fault?

mine was doing the same. You could be out in it for 2 miles then it would cut out. It would just crank and crank but would not fire back up. My dad used to come and toe my car home. As soon as it got home the bloody thing would start again. I changed the fuel filter. It was like pouring guinness out of a glass. My car came with a full service history but the fuel filter had never been changed in its life. Its been spot on now for over 4 years.

Your problem sounds like mine was. For 8 quid for a fuel filter i would try that first. Make sure you havent got a tank full of fuel cause when i took the fuel pump/filter housing off a canny bit of fuel come out of the tank lol. Let us know how you get on with your car.

See if you have a spark when it cuts out, no point chasing things until you do that, ie if spark has gone a new fuel filter won't sort it, but checking for spark narrows down the things it could be.

if you never have i would grab the sensor kit and get that lot fitted to be sure. also check the general serviceable items, Fuel filter, Dizzy etc etc.

Peace of mind!
