a bit of advice now from me seeing as your using an xs power turbo. i know them and have dealt with them for 4 years xs usa that is. the turbos are good but dont leave it at 27 psi as i promise it wont last long, if you run 21 psi though itl be good for 1000s of miles. ive seen one shit itself at 2k miles at under 2 bar ! and for the money 1.5 bar and reliability is good imo

Well done on the motor, power seems superb, looks mad running with nothing on the front of the turbo, cool as fuck.
On your vibration, try checking your rear driveshaft bolts.I put new bushes into my mates 20000 mile 3dr cos and it went back to interpro twice.first time was to set up all the coilovers etc but on his way back he felt a small vibration.
We shoved it on the ramp and saw nothing obvious but when we went up the road it was real bad.
It went back to interpro and they found the inner driveshaft bolts (torx 40 iirc) had worked loose,no idea why.car is fine now.
Might be worth bringing the torx set with you!

Chip is feeling pushed out because someone with more knowledge on dull subjects has turned up. Chip telling someone to 'bore off', how ironic, the fucking hypocrit.

i think the car looks great, bit sketchy on the trailer but you live and learn. it will be interesting to see how much power it produces when its completed, and deffinatly one of the best zetec turbos to look at :L but at only 400bhp (i say ONLY lmao) would you not have been better putting a stage 3 YB in it and just having a reliable, tried and tested engine?

Saw the graph today and map etc and its very good..peaked at 1.62 bar and held 1.53 so the power is good imo..
Theres loads more to come as the ignition at the top is still very low so id say 450 hp no probs and if it was on a proper turbo doing 2.2 bar id say 500 hp is possible...ps
It was 386lb ft also so that would raise loads with more boost..get those bits and bobs done dan and youl have one seriously powerfull motor!!
cheers danny

cheers everyone, i went down with matt, lhd220turbo today to collect it. phoned the recovery and within 45mins it was loaded on the wagon.
re the vibration, i drove it into the garage, and it sounded like the bearing on the prob was making a noise, but i need to sort a few bits under the bonnet then i will look into it further.
i have posted up before about the diff/rear end as when the car is on the ground, you can push it fairly easily. but jack the rear end up and you can barely turn the wheels.
i did strip/degrease/reapack with grease the drive shafts when i first got them, but it all went back together ok... so i will probably start with the diff/shafts.
thanks once again to danny/luke at EP, they have gone out of their way to try and get it going as best as they can, but ive run out of cash for the time being so will need to sort the issues myself before i take it back down so they can finish the mapping.
bit gutted i still cant drive it yet, but i guess teething problems are one of those things!
vaughant, its audi rs blue

The car looks nice , i like the idea of going down the zetec route . Something different and sets it in a league of its own , as you said its not a 3 dr replica .
I have the same problem with my torq bolts for some reason , i have to tighten them every 500 miles or so , tried thread lock on them so i think its time to try new bolts and its the same with mine where you push the car on the ground and its easy to push but get it in the airr and its hard to turn the wheels , could be something to do with the lsd or a brake binding but it works so i wont mess with it .

trav, thats good to know then if its not just mine lol
ive had the cover off the diff and could not see any visible damage/chipped teeth etc.
ill check the bolts then. i cant remember what i torqed them to, so will start with that.
i dont think the brakes are binding, as im sure it was the same with no callipers on the rear.

well, he said he would have gone that way, but as i didnt turn off, he just followed me
at least he only had to drive back to brightone after dropping the car off lol.
although, i did make him a coffee and chatted to him for his 45min break he had to take lol
was actaully quite a nice chap to talk to i thought, despite first impressions lol
