Dunno about the phone connection but yeah, my car was there - pale blue Sapph.

Why not get the vibration in the diff area sorted while it's there, then you can drive it home. Seems a pain to trailer it or put it on a flatbed.

You're still on standard rear beam arent you?
martoon helped fitting the pistons in the block, as i cracked a ring on the first effort lol.

he also refitted the timing belt after you had timed it up for me.

i tightened all the bolts tho

and yes to being on a std rear beam, except the cunt pugo that sold me 2wd rear beam/diff/shafts etc actually sold me a 4x4 diff and shafts.... cunt

Yeah that mirrors when I asked them what they were when I was fitting the timing belt for him and timing it up etc on the vernier.

When he didnt know what the gaps were when asked, thats when I suggested someone who knew what they were doing got involved in redoing the work on the pistons for him in the first place

Good job cause the engine would be seized now otherwise

you can pick up a complete 2.0l zetec for Ł100 or less if it shits itself.

starting with nothing, how much would it cost to buy/build a YB to 400bhp. bearing in mind that cossie heads have mostly been skimmed to death etc.

it sure its cost a lot less to do the zetec, and how many 400odd bhp zetecs do you know of?

every man and his dog has a 400bpg cossie.

and thats another thing, its NOT a cosworth, so why bother with boat anchors lol.

and finally, i found the logbook earlier, i actually bought the car in 2005, so ive only been doing it 5 years, not the 6 i thought i had

i was told i didnt need to, as they come specced from wiseco. i also asked for 8:1 cr, and the pistons were actually 8.8:1cr when martoon cc'd it. so i still had to get 1mm machined off the pistons to give 7.8:1 CR.

i guess the moral to that, is dont belive what you are told

yes mate, xs power T04E

Ł280 for a NEW turbo, so even if it lasts 5k miles its almost a consumable part lol

so say they dont like big boost either, but luke said mine is running 18psi, so not wringing its neck

edit to add:

its also on an xs power external wastegate and std cossie amal valve

Your engine is clearly more efficient then mine then as yours is making good power there for not alot of boost.

Quick picture of mine, iv moved the airfilter now though to behind the head light.
No idea what power its making, but Will Pedley has said there is more to come just from adding ignition. Its on a very safe map at the mo due to my current loom being a bit on the ropey side.

Im sure he said it was 390lb ft but dont quote me on that..said its lively though..
