Ok, engine went back in today

So far done 50 miles and all is well apart from a leak from the rocker cover, but that'll be sorted tomorrow....

How many miles do I have to do to bed my grp A headgasket in, I dying to shove my foot to the floor

Didn't know a head gasket needed bedding in?
If its not air tight and flat now i guess it will be even less so when you've done a few miles

I will Gus thanks though, can't drive her at the min with the leak I got, it's quite bad...so she's parked up till I get a new rocker cover gasket...

I wasn't sure if I needed to bed her in - but best to ask then I don't cause any damage!!!!

Nearly ended up sideways in the middle of the motorway, BEFORE I had her set up properly - so god help me when I can really give her some!!!!

I'll be careful though Gus

when i had my engine done in my shaffy my tuner said to give it 500 miles before booting it, but i had both top and bottom ends done, and also a new turbo lol

Gaaables, would of added another 500 onto that with some fresh oil!!!! and a pre-turbo oil filter for swarf catchings

Had bottom end done too, but it was second hand so presume that doesn't need running in.

Paul - which meet Manchester? She should be ready for next week, just waiting on a rocker cover gasket, got a major oil leak!!!!

Also does anyone know where's the cheapest place to get a full set of samcos from and how much????

Cheers guys will PM him - Stuart (my fella) has given me the job of pulling off my rocker cover so her can put these seals on tomorrow - what the hell is he thinking getting a bird to do a job like that how many things can go wrong - with me the list is endless!!!!!!
