good film!! A bit unrealistic at points. Most the cunts they wasted deserved it anyway!
Shame it doesnt happen in real life more often. police seem incapable of acting in serious crime and to be frank killing most the cunts solves the problem. dead dealers/ major drug players gets my vote. so does dead paedos etc. yes new ones will fill thier places but if the attrition rate is high enough then a few select men could cause a shit load of hassle in the drug trade!
IMO youd need a handler on the inside like the hoskins character. with so much CCTV around these days you need an easy source of intel to save time. Otherwise from planning your own operations it takes a shit load of time to do it properly and get the surviellance you need and make your plans and it would make it too time consuming to do it otherwise. And you need the high attrition rate and to cover your back, to make it worth while and reduce chance of getting caught.
also you need good intel to make sure you only kill the right people. shoot too many CHAV wannabe hardmen who are really insecure immature boys (like most teen chavs are) and the police will be upset rather quickly!!

And i thought there was a lot of back stabbing cunts in the forces (well the officer corps at least). Its 10 times worse on civvy street and out here people seem to stand for nothing and will shit on your mate just to get an inch ahead all for no good reason.
Those sort of actions would get you the shit kicked out of you in the forces, and rightly so. Moral fibre and all that.

I was hoping it was going to be good as i quite like danny dier for some reason.
Anyone seen the film where he is a security alarm installer, ends up pumping the woman in the house and going to some fancy party with her. On there way home they get into some trouble, he gets the shit kicked out of him and she gets raped. They go about getting revenge and that involves her sticking a double barrel shot gun up the arse of the guy who raped her! Bet that stung!

i agree most of the acting`s shit...but the story and motivation i thinks great..it just sums up how some of us ex soldiers feel when we return home to shit like this going of on our streets.

I just thought as a pay back / retirbution style film it was really poor. Wasn't convinced that he was that hard done by. So I didnt feel the joy of him getting his own back.

chopshop its kind of wierd. Say youve done 10 years in the forces (as matt and me have roughly), you spend most your time away or living on base or within the service community away from the civvy world. Now wether we like it or not the world has changed massively in the last ten years alone for the WORSE in terms of social decline, drug crime, lack of respect, selfishness etc.
All those things are at odds with the service ethos and culture so when you go back into the civvy world you suddenly find you are in a completely new world from how it was. And that can be in only a short time like 5-10 years.
Hence why so many are pissed off and angry with how the world has turned to shit. Makes you think sometimes why you bother!! Some of the scum in our country only have the ability to exist based on the sacrifices of our brave troops through 2 world wars and then even now soldiers die supposedly to protect our way of life. And quite frankly no wonder some are fucking angry when they realise the way of life they have given and lost so much to protect in a significant proportion of cases isnt worth the sacrifice and not worth saving....
Half the scum cunts in this country i wouldnt piss on if they were on fire.....
doesnt help that the government are just as bad and using our troops as political pawns and betraying their trust with lies and phoney reasons for going to war. War is a horrible thing and should be a last resort.
Its even worse when people have been in 20-30 years!
