I've just been offered a low milage astra turbo coupe as a swap for the vectra gsi I'm selling.
It's 2002 and standard apart from a miltek exhaust, its that mettalic orange colour.
Are they any good as I don't know anything about them and is there anything I should look out for.
Cheers

a mate of mine had the 2.2 sri, he said he was really suprised at how quick it was, would still pin you back in the seat, and i think theyre slower then the turbos?
said it didnt handle to bad either.
Pretty solid too as the bodys galvanised.
Although he did have troubles with the fueling think it was an ecu/coil pack issue but he got it cheap at auction.

My mate had a gsi turbo paid 9k for it a few years back sounded nice but didn't go that well in the first 6 months it was in the garage being repaired more than it was on the road steer clear mate unless its dirt cheap.

personally i love my coupe... its currently off the road tho after i spat a rod through the 2.2 block.... but that engine is a complete pile of toss....
the turbo should be a right bubble! and with a LET in it, easy enough to get a fair bitta power..
mines just got some coilovers and some proxy's and as a 1700kg 150bhp tank, it was more than capable! and IMO its a lovely drive too... much MUCH better than your normal Astras... (ive only driven the 1.4 astra hatch, so cant compare to the GSI's....)

my misses has ran a 2001 2.2 coupe about for the last 2 years trouble free. Obviously not a fast car against what your used to but I actually rate them, well put together and hold the road well for a standard car
