I've been shaving my head through summer. I bought proper full size clippers for the job. I soon realised it was far easier to use my beard trimmer size ones to do my whole head. Because they are smaller you seem to be able to clipper far earlier than with the bigger ones. ie every 3-4 days. FYI they are remington and rechargeable. Cordless is MILES easier.

I forgot to take them with me though this trip away so it's hair grow back time. Ah well it was going to happen soon enough.

I bought some Phillips clippers from Boots 4 years ago and there mint, still using them.

I was given Wahl clippers worth Ł60 for Christmas but find them hard to use as they are very heavy so keep them for my 2 boys

if your doing the whole head in one grade the ones i recomment are the palm type ones
http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Produc...7C14418426.htm

these do grade 1-6 by simply twisting so no need to try and find the attachment when they go walkies. The full size clippers can be quite difficult to use when doing it ur self. But the full size ones are much better for when u have a different grade on the top to the bottom and if not done well u will get a line around ur head, do ur whole head in the highest grade all over then work down the grades down the sides till u get the length u require, its easier to start longer and work down as cant stick hair back on.
Iv had numbers of male clients who have made mistakes of doing their hair at home.

As to the make babyliss and wahl and reminton are all good. But as long as u clean the clippers and use the oil to keep them maintained they will last u.

Bought some clippers 6 years ago. They still working fine now. Cost me Ł20 from Argos. Think how much money i have saved NOT paying some student hairdresser Ł10 every 2 weeks to do a .5 all over!

i once gave myself a blended haircut, 3 on top and shorter on the sides. the wife said i looked like will smith, although i dont really know what she ment as im not black, 10 foot tall, or have stickyout ears... and im far from minted lol.

she made do a short cut all over as she said it was awful

They're weird looking !! Would they go as short as 0.5 ? or best to get a conventional set ?

Same here. had a few sets of clippers over the years, the remingtons are very good. Battery life is miles better than the others ive tried, lasts about 40 mins on a full charge and has a battery life indicator which is useful.
