Stripped , caged and corner weighted the S1
Booked up for the Beds Track day on Feb 19th so thought I would do a few more during the year so decided to strip the S1 , get a cage in and then get it corner weighted.
It handles absolutely amazing now and can't wait to get it out on track this year
Had some fun over the weekend by wiping the floor with a jap spec scooby , a porsche boxster and a jag xk8 too
Am well happy , Roll on the Beds Day

why would ya do that to such a clean s1 
i can understand if its not a perfect one but yours is mint
looks good but its a shame that ya done it to such a good example

No probs Grant so long as you have a lid and a passenger pass or a track pass?
What tyres you planning to run ?
Just sticking with the Yoko A539's for the moment as I have spent quite enough on it lately, well for the moment.
Now get a decent seat in there, so you don't have your harnesses like that!
Got 2 sets of black harnesses on the way, 2 front seats will be purchased soon ( maybe before the track day ) and the interior will be sold to fund the seats.
How much will I get for the interior ( everything minus the dash and roof lining) as it is in pretty mint condition!

Just out of interest what did it weigh??
It weighed in at 968kg
front left 300.5 kg
front right 316 kg
rear left 176 kg
rear right 171.5 kg
Adjustable tca's were set to 1mm tow out
The car handles really well now and am gonna have some right fun with it this year

I stripped it
SCC Performance fitted the cage
Field Motorsport did the suspension setup and I got a wicked tour round whilst I was there, even showed me the dyno room of which they started a pinto they had on there for me. Bloody thing revved to 9000 rpm, tis gonna be evil when it's in the car
Cage was Ł660 and that includes the door bars of which haven't been fitted yet as I didn't want to cut the door cards.
Ally door cards will be made up after the Beds Track day when I am home from Northern Ireland and then the door bars will go in too

dont understand just polishin them up then put it away again for another 6 months!
plus he could still put it back standard

Prefer to see em std though and still being used as a proper car, it's your enjoyment though

The interior will be sold, perhaps on E bay 
I hardly use the car as it is as I am away all the time with work.
To be honest it has become a bit too much of a temptation to go nuts everytime I get in it on the road and that will only result in a ban

Still got the P8 ecu and other anti lag bits to go on yet after the rods and pistons get done
A decent set of mods to make the car handle has totally transformed the car into something that I actually feel confident about thrashing around the twisties
