Default MOT-ness of bike carbs

I have M Reg Fez with a 2.0 blacktop wedged in. I wana run it on bike carbs and megajolt for simplicity, will it go thru an MOT? Loads of people run this conversion, but I can't work out how they get round the emissions side of it.

Any help really appreciated

I'm guessing they get through it because the majority of people do these conversions in Mk1 and Mk2 Fiestas, so the MOT emission test is on the pre-cat limits.

But I would of thought a proper set-up would see you below the emissions for the MOT.

its ok i've sussed it. You gotta use bike throttle bodies wired into sumat like a megasquirt to keep the CO's down. Carbs won't pass on anything that runs a cat.

its going to want throttlebodies to pass imo, carbs wouldnt do it unless they were set up perfectly....

or a little back handed paper type present for the tester

then you could run a decat too

you should just get a really old car then the only emissions test they have is visual pmsl
