Id rather get run over at 30mph than 36mph. Id say the 6mph could be the difference between life and death.

I utterly agree in principal. But the chances of getting away from a clear cut case of speeding is minimal. Unless there's an error with the NIP you may as well just take it.

There are legal procedures they have to go through when changing limits. One is to advertise the fact.

Although given the amount of limit extensions and changes I see here, I really dont imagine they follow any legal procedures.

Some info

http://www.abd.org.uk/30.htm

Although it might make a good FOI request to see what procedures they do follow when changing limts.

My estate has only 1 road in and out, onto the main road, formerly a 40mph limit it is now 30mph, the 40mph signs at the exit of the estate are still there, advising you you are driving onto a 40mph road that is actually signed 30mph either way, this was done at the same time as the illegally high gradient hump, so so easy to forget it's 30 now esp when some signs say 40.
The reason I offered advice was because 3 points can be very disastrous to some, ie if your job depends on clean license etc, as I said depends how much you want to avoid it.
36 in a 30 is piss take imo, but if a barrister makes the difference between a ban, loss of job, house, etc etc, then it's money well spent imo.
At the end of the day it is only what those who have lots of money do when employing "nick loophole" etc.
Another thing I did was string mine out, the cops were going for dangerous, didn't even try failure to disclose despite my refusal, they seemed only concerned with the more serious charge, so by the time(11 months) that was dropped they were over the 6 month limit for failure to disclose prosecution, had they not been greedy they could have got a instant win for the lesser charge.

if the signage is incorrect you can get off easy peasy.

Quite frankly. Ive never seen a speed camera at a pedestrian crossing. So if you are on the road, you deserve all you get whether at 30mph or 36mph. Pedestrians shouldnt be on the road.

Often that gets overlooked.

In short I denied the offence and entered "no plea", I walked out of court NOT GUILTY after around 10 minutes, jury and wintnesses were not even called, into the court.
I would do some searches on previous cases of id of the offender which is why I walked, I even claimed my £135 travelling costs of seeing solicitors, barrister, attedn court etc.
I still have all the papers from the case as well for any doubters.

Every time one of these types of threads comes up you mention these "secret" four letters. What the fuck are they and if you know them and you are also expecting other people to know and use them they are hardly very secret are they? Sounds like a load of bollocks to me - unless you can prove otherwise.

as for the comment about nick freeman he dont do anything wrong, if i go to work and do something wrong or dont sign a delivery document im in the shit. all he does is expose the mistakes the police and justice system use. Its only right that if your being prosecuted(spl) then everything should be done a1...blimey you can get off with more serious offences when paperwork isnt completed correctly yet nobody has a pop at those solicitors. the police treat speeding as a sure fire conviction stat and money in the bank because so many people just say sod it i will pay...christ people defend yourselves

The problem is, justice costs money. Not everyone can afford to fight their case. The government have the entire motoring legal system tied up, to make it nigh on impossible for most people to defend themselves

The only people who get away easy, are rich people, or those who work within the legal system themselves.

He could tell you, but then he'd have to kill you!

The first letter says that you're really really cross and will write a very angry letter to the Daily Mail unless then cancel the fine.

If that doesn't work the second is a picture of a kitten, promising to shoot it in the face unless they cancel the fine

If that doesn't work the third is to the Chief Constable, stating that you have some pictures of him in compromising positions with a goat.

If that doesn't work the third says you're gonna send Dojj round to live with them for a week! Works every time!

tut tut

if it's a first offence it's a speed awareness course which costs about £90 plus a day out for you or 3 points
you can sell the points on but the person you sell them on to needs to be insured on your car or you both get fucked
you can change the plates but it's a bit tricky unless you have plates ready to go on and can remove obvious markings in/on the car

you can go 50/50 or ask a friend seeing as you've alraedy asked the audience
