Why??? It's so damned irritating and makes the person sound more than a little thick!

Im guessing you mean without the h, or aych. But i cant say i noticee it alot.
Maybe it depends on the accent its said in, i know that that sounds stupid but thats all I can think of atm.

Im very much aware of your annoyance that the southerners dont get your love of the brown stuff mate, i even remember you saying you use it for toothpaste
. i must agree though, im very partial to gravy also, its defo a northern boy thing, its one of the reasons why i only venture south of leeds for car shows, then get my arse back to geordieland ASAP
