Fantastic looking car let down by the awful wrap. Was all rippled round the flared wings, covered in fingerprints and could see where it had been cut round the bootlid, presumeably with a rusty pair of scissors. Door shuts were not wrapped either.

What a let down to an otherwise stunning car!

I do have pics of the car but not the shoddy wrap as I was with some rather burly Ford knobs at the time! will just have to take my word for it i'm afraid

 

why did they use wrap and not just paint it in matt?

 

what is the point of these matt black wraps?

i was in london this weekend mainly around chelsea/kensington area and there are dozens of wrapped cars out there, mostly in matt back although did see some amazing other colours (near harrods the arabs are all out to play, but thats another story).

A few of the cars were pretty rough old things, so it wont be long before this fad is out of date and people realise it looks crap, at which point what do you do with your very expensive fwd Focus 500?

Can it be unwrapped and if so what colour is it inderneath?

Worst car I saw in matt black was an old Jag XK coupe, P reg, it looked like a scrapper in matt black waiting to be dragged off to the breakers yard!

The worst thing is if hit a fly it turns the matt to a gloss so after a few miles the front end looks shit.

was that at fairford? i didnt see the RS500 myself, but paul swift is a bit handy with the other FRS's

some awesome flying machinery at the show though, was never really into planes but definately converted now.

going to make it hard to tell if a car has been crashed and repaired too!

 

well remove it in 10yrs time and in theory you will have a freshly painted car so it may have some benefits, basically a cover to protect the paint

 

My thoughts exactly. Cant beat the sierra rs500's.

 

my dad raced one of these up the a1 last week in his 06 plate 911 carrera s,reckons he didnt go over 5 grand and wiped the floor with him. dont think the guy in the rs was caning it,i drove a 300bhp st and that felt rapid so id of thought a rs500 would be really quick
