It has an uprated spring inside that will hold the boost better and cope with more pressure.
Your standard one is only good for around 9psi

many thanks. how much does the 31 actuator cost and is it hard to fit?
if i run more than 9psi on a standard one what will happen?

a standard actuator wont hold high boost mate, the -31 will hold more. i had mine set to 18 p.s.i. on my fez, no problems at all

Dont just turn the boost up pal it needs to be set up by a tuner.

just 2 bolts and a clip to replace it, i put 1/2 a hole preload on mine as well.
but as "mr_joe0606" says get it set up properly by a rolling road tuner or you could seriously f##k your hard work up mate.
