Default Evo 8 FQ 320 no boost

a mate of mine at work mentioned to me that he had no boost at all , apparently happened once before but seemed to kick back into working as normal as he was driving

Took me up the road and sure enough no boost AT ALL , i thought it maybe a pipe came off or maybe the wiring to the boost soleniod/valve unit which is situated on his car inner n/s lower wing. All pipe work seems to be still attached, wiring hasnt broke away or anything like that from what i could see (only had few mins)

does anyone have any advice on whats most likely causing this to happen?
hopefully an easy ish fix for him ??

any advice is appreciated

thanks
Mike

I'm no expert on evos, it could be a sensor fault. And that causes the ecu to limit boost.

It's easy to check.

i was thinking its the boost/amal valve goosed , i,m only used to cossies , rst to be honest
The actuator did seem in a bad way , old n rusty looking but would it just stop working ?all pipes attached, maybe a split in one would cause it?

When driving its completely underpowered as if the actuator isnt attached at all , could the diaphram cause this sudden completely no boost situ?
