Mk5 and MK6 engine bay looms aren't the same sadly.

few differances such as CPS etc

contact JDM Spares on the RS2000-16v.com forum for any parts needed.

iirc the MK5a uses MK5 loom.

Being 4x4 makes no difference to the looms.

if what I remember about the MK5a using MK5 loom then yes the loom will.

MK5's are pre PATS so make them more interchangable than the MK6 but the ECU code may still need to be the same.

As I previousy said mate get onto www.RS2000-16V.com and they'll tell you within minutes of asking what you need to know.

I am a good spanner on an RS2K but electrition I'm not bud.

just trying to find a way to get my car running as the keys are lost
mine has pats, but was trying to find out whether an earlier loom/ecu & key without pats would work as there the same model

if its PATS I believe you will have to change your ECU and Barrel to go with your new keys to get it runing.

i've tried a replacement ecu/transponder/key from another vehicle but didn't work.
ive also been told that the ecu codes must be the same, trying to find a matching ecu is near on impossible all the ones i've find have all been different, not come across two the same let alone matched mine.
this is why i'm trying to find out whether the earlier loom with it's own ecu and key will work in my car
i'd rather not do this however could be a blessing as then i would check EVERY connection i suppose
do you reckon it's worth a go?
