Default any one turbo'ed a fiesta zetec s ?

as above wondering if any one has done it? i know they used to do off the shell convertions but are they reliable? not want big power just a 4/5psi standerd engine , got a t3 turbo sat here and a foucs tdi cooler loads of boost pipe, would just need a ecu and mapping

so what im asking is has any one done it there self? any probs? and will it take that boost?

thanks in advance

What sort of power do you want?

I've read on here that the engine is an amazing base for n/a tuning and for about a 2.5k outlay, they can return as much as 150bhp. Speak to 'It's Czech Mate' for details.

i wouldnt say 2.5k for a 40bhp increase is brillant, considering you will be at the limits of the engine imo

t3 will need a lot of work, uprated internals etc etc

duratec engine will go in a fiesta bay and is a lot better potential imo, currently have a 2.3 fitted in one of my fiestas

from speaking to olley from oc he is still using standard internals though, if you want bit more bhp speak to him, all iam saying is once you get to a certain point you will need to put a lot money into the engine to make it reliable past that magic number of bhps if that makes sense, the same with most engines really

Escy you are a sad sad cunt stuck in the past who clearly knows fuck all.

Easy to get 150 bhp n/a for just over a grand or a bit more if you don't already have an ehxhaust.

Would a FRST or ZVH engine not be a better option than using the standard zetec engine?

Iv never understood why people spend £££ on the standard engine with no decent power gains?

to add: 2k will buy you this http://www.fiestaturbo.com/forums/ze...25f0650caabcda

Zetec SE tuning is coming on well now. I'm hoping for about 160/170bhp-ish soon from mine. Jon at ShawSpeed has hit over 200bhp on a few engines now, and has been developing some new things to get even more. If you want to know anything about the SE speak to this man:

I do know fuck all, can't believe I said 2.5k for 150bhp. Shawspeed say its £3017.35 (plus an exhaust and manifold) to get 150bhp.

if you can get 150bhp for just over a grand id like to know how?

how much is the ecu your using.
how much is the bodies your using.

you say that guy knows fuck all but hes saying its a third of the price of what shawspeed charge, can you give more details?

Stock ecu and standard inlet will see 150. standard head will see 190-200bhp

all it requires is a zaust, manifold, cams, valvesrpings and a remap

If you can do the oily bits yourself and buy the cams on an exchange basis then you just need parts and a remap.

With the mulitude of bits on ebay its fairly easy for around £1300, and if your lucky you could do that with new parts.

I've done it twice already, as has old dan on here and a few others.

The key is the exhaust cam timing but ask Escy he seems to know all about it

I'm flattered, but to be fair, I don't know much about exhaust cam timing on a sigma zetec.

If it was simple that's what I'd say, but to keep it all 'factory' its hard. it's hard to swap to a duratec and keep the dash working the keys coded the aircon working etc for 500.....But it is another all alloy modern superb ford engine

Its HD big end bolts you need not valve springs, Jon only recommends HD springs with bodies due to needing more revs.

I've seen a few crack 150bhp on standard inlet. My mates did it, with SS4's full exhaust and remap at Dreamscience.

You can do it for under a grand if you can do the labour yourself. Maybe a tad more for a good map.

Mine made 130bhp on RS Tuning's rollers. Mine has SS4's full exhaust, MSD chip and fucked pistons rings. Not bad to say the engine isn't running its best, and the map isn't great either.

One of ShawSpeed's engines made 172bhp last week on Jenveys. All depends on how far you want to go to how much you spend.

That Van Shatten kit was well grim, piss poor kit! Remember fitting one to Z-S years ago, awful it was. But Shawspeed seem to be producing a few decent examples and I believe there was one at Combe, but I don't think it had the SE engine in it though.

Nah, its this one, but I can see it ain't an SE engine, its a Zetec E. But Mountune built Puma 1.6 engine's, which are exactly the same that ran 210bhp if I remember correctly.
