Ours was in the grill - we had an inverter linked to a dvd recorder in the boot..!
You could post a pic - i expect you're a bit paranoid about it to be honest...?

Team HOTHOT!
Big suctioncup mount on the windscreen for me (same as what the likes of Top Gear use) - never had an issue with using it multiple times in different cars when there

I have mine mounted in the grill and a HDVR in the glove box recording the video.
I know if you get caught you get banned for the day, twice and its a band for the season.

Wish I could find it now. IIRC it was on a E30 BMW.
Best system I've seen used is to attach it to the sunvisor with cable ties then flip it down once on the track. And back up when in the car park. Like this,

Obviously if you do it better than that you'll get a good view of the road. Not just one side. Maybe pack it out on one side with some cardboard. I'd also sugest filming something more interesting than traffic lights in Guildford

we used a bullet cam in the rear spoiler, and just hand helds by passenger. Did mount bullet cam under front spoiler but never actually used it

The Marshalls are at the barrier. And you can't easily stop between the barrier and entering the track. Or even in the first 100m or so down the track. I get the impression they check UK cars more stringently too.

I just filmed with my mobile in a Halfords holder that was spun round to face out the window.... One marshal asked if it was for filming but was happy when I just said it was my phone!

My experience at the N.Ring would suggest that I wouldn't expect them to notice the tiny cut out from the front mesh/grill on the focus.
It would have to be far more obvious or you are very unlucky.
It is not like scrutineering, they just tend to glance at the cars as they go through the grates making them money.

Got through alright even though one looked right at it and winked! Top weekend and managed a 9.28! which was pretty good for first time and first ever track day. ran out of space on the DVR so couldn't get it which was a shame.

i know its slightly off topic and theres probably already a thread on here telling me this but can somebody tell me the average price of a run to the ring? i mean like price of laps, hotels etc, i know you can't take fuel and stuff into the equation coz it depends where your going from, but a ballpark figure would be muchly appreciated
cheers

Some ones got to show them how its done! to be honest the car was excellent, top dollar and couldn't fault it at all. First track day ever and the never really drove the ring on games so think i did alright. Still mate did a 8.38 in the M5, Ring taxi was getting pissed as she couldn't shake us. shame the camera ran out of battery for that.
