Default Choosing next modification..

Hi all, Im trying to decide what mod to next for not silly money that will get me abit more power... current spec is...

Omex 710
T34.48
750cc injectors
500 cooler etc
and all the usuall stuff like swirl pot, big brakes etc etc
engine internals are completely standard, and standard head gasket and clutch as car has only done 38k

had quite alot of dyno runs and it makes between 330 and 360 pending on heat and boost im running.

i want abit more power but dont want to spend silly amounts of money..

any advice would be great

thanks

If you don't mind taking the head off try some porting, will increase power right across the rev range, depending on what's done, from around Ł300

if on a budget your cheapest option would be change the housing on your turbo to a 0.63 and get a remap

If you want a substantial power increase without having to pay out for head porting then i have already done all the hard work and messing about. See my thread for details -link in my sig. You can get a inlet cam that doesnt require valve cut outs which is simliar to the BD14, GT3071 can be put on with the minimal of fuss, get it mapped and there you go

300 ft/lbs is enough for the standard mt75 to go bang you don't need 350

Depends what you want doing head wise, the first Ł300 porting I had done took away all the habit of not wanting to rev out in higher gears, hits 7300/7400 through the gears, as well as boosting much harder and much sooner.
The person I use has only been doing it 54(fifty four) years so think he may have cracked it by now!!
Price wise my piston pocketing is costing Ł40, some wanted Ł10-Ł15 a pocket, so Ł40 fort all 16 done is good I think!!

Ł10-15 a pocket is pure cosworth tax especially when you consider the time and effort spent.
