Our LCD is on its way out ( keeps turning off getting more and more frequently) and aware we are definitely going to have to replace it at some point very soon.

Its only a cheap LCD but had it 3 years now, so wasnt expecting it to last a lifetime.

Saw this advertised on Comet-

http://www.comet.co.uk/shopcomet/pro...roduct1Rotator

any good?

cheers

Erm, nope! Cheap and cheerful. Depends what you want from it but personaly I wouldn't touch it when you can get far better sets for not a lot more cash. My friends Aussie father says they call LG "Lucky it Goes" over there

Best bet at that price range is a Samsung 4-series plasma (PS42B451) - http://www.superfi.co.uk/index.cfm/p...roduct_ID/5176

You might want to consider spending a bit more now and getting a Full HD display, rather potentially having to buy another set in 2/3 years. Again, Samsung plasma's are a good bet for relatively cheap but good quality full HD (5-series upwards is full-HD). I wouldn't recommend any other make for the sub Ł800 bracket really - beyond that look at Panasonic and Philips.

They had one of those in my local store yesterday, the picture quality really isn't up to much.

I'm a Samsung guy myself, not for any specific reason, I just like the look of them and they have been good to me so far "touch wood".

I bought an LED tele from Currys on wednesday, Ł900 fucking quid! 2 days later it was Ł700! I was so pissed off, so took advantage of their 7 day price promise and got Ł200 back

Bargain getting the 2ton back. Picked up a 22inch Samsung Full HD the other month, quite impressed with it tbh.

In The Daily Mail today it's got some nice TV's on page 29 iirc, some ranging from Ł400 to Ł2k

Plus one for Ł100k, thing i'll wait till the smmer sale for that one.
