You might want to consider spending a bit more now and getting a Full HD display, rather potentially having to buy another set in 2/3 years. Again, Samsung plasma's are a good bet for relatively cheap but good quality full HD (5-series upwards is full-HD). I wouldn't recommend any other make for the sub £800 bracket really - beyond that look at Panasonic and Philips.
